Captain’s Log:
I stumbled upon a village of little friends; different shapes, different sizes, all watching me far too closely for comfort.
This particular group stood out immediately. Red caps. White speckles like fallen stars.
Naturally, I did.
While the gnomes insist they don’t do anything, something told me these airy, mercurial creatures were capable of far more than they let on. With caps that bright, I could only assume them to be fatally toxic, so I excused myself without further investigation.
What I found odd, however, was that upon returning to my quarters…
one had nestled itself neatly beneath my pillow.
